Easy Chocolate Chip Waffles
These Chocolate Chip Sourdough Waffles are some of my favorites! It’s a nice basic waffle, but with the addition of chocolate, it becomes an extraordinary, buttery waffle!

Keyword: Easy Chocolate Chip Waffle
Servings: 40 Waffles (approx)
- 4 Eggs
- 1 Cup Butter melted
- 3 Tbsp Maple Syrup
- 3 Cup Clabber soured raw milk, you can use any milk though
- 2 Cup Sourdough starter either active or discard
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 Cup Einkorn Flour
- 2 Cup All-purpose Flour
- 2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1.5 tsp Salt
- 1 Cup Chocolate Chips chopped
- Wisk the eggs, butter, maple syrup, milk, and starter together. Then, add all of the other ingredients.
- Heat up your waffle maker and then cook them
- Store in a glass container or plastic bag and put them in the fridge
- To freeze, put them in a ziplock bag or any way you like to store freezer things
- Enjoy!
- I always add more chocolate chips in the end to make bursts of chocolate in every bite!
- Make sure you fold the batter over before you spoon it into the maker. The chocolate chips will sink to the bottom of the bowl
- You can use all AP flour if you don't have einkorn flour
- Once they're off the waffle maker, I like to put them on a wire rack to cool so they don't get soggy
- If you don't want to use all butter, you can use half butter and half coconut oil
