It’s Thanksgiving week! Perfect time for some “must-haves” for your Thanksgiving table! These are all delicious and relatively easy.

Pumpkin Pie:
This pie is one of my favorites. Add some homemade whipped cream on top and it’s perfect. It’s a nice smooth pie, full of spices. I use one of the best, if not best pumpkin pie filling recipes. It’s on the back of Libby’s Pumpkin Puree. I then use the best pie crust I have ever had, from Sally’s Baking Addiction. Combine them and they are a match in heaven.
You can always use a premade pie crust, but I highly encourage you to make your own. It doesn’t take long at all and it’s hard. Rolling out take some technique (which I’m still figuring out myself). But as long it’s rolled out even, and wide enough for the pie plate, it doesn’t take long.

Apple pie:
Another classic for the Thanksgiving table. You wouldn’t think you could have a “bad” apple pie, but I have had some gross ones. Way too sweet, soggy, undercooked, way too much crust.
For my apple pies, I’ve used the filling my mom has always used. It’s so good! One thing I changed was to replace some of the white sugar with dark brown sugar.

Apple Turnover:
Apple turnovers are an underrated dessert and would be perfect for the Thanksgiving table! They look deceiving, just plain cooked crust. But inside there is treasures of soft apples covered in cinnamon sugar. Oh, then the smooth apple butter too!
If you don’t make it for Thanksgiving, you still need to give it a try!
Homemade Apple Sauce:
With all that food you’re gonna eat on Thanksgiving you’ll need something simple to wash it all down. Homemade apple sauce is the perfect option! It’s so easy and doesn’t take long (well, depends on how many apples you have). This apple sauce is filled with spices and is just perfect!
Roasted Butternut Squash:
Butternut squash is a squash full of flavor. But when you roast it and add all the good seasonings, it’s even better! Here is my recipe for roasting butternut squash, perfect for the Thanksgiving table. Or you could use this recipe to make Butternut Squash Risotto.
