Easy Cheeseburger Sourdough Pancake

Easy Cheeseburger Sourdough Pancake

This Easy Cheeseburger Sourdough Pancake is delicious! For a quick breakfast or even lunch,  chop up your leftover cheeseburger, some green onions, and garlic! It’s a perfect combination.

One thing I love about these pancakes is there are so many different kinds of variations! This post is dedicated is a cheeseburger pancake! I have a couple of other posts with different variations and sauces which I’ll link below!

Ingredients:

Sourdough starter (either active or inactive will work), approx ½ cup or however big of a pancake you want.

  • 1 Green Onion
  • 2 cloves of Garlic
  • Leftover Cheeseburger (I usually only need half of one)
  • Salt & Pepper

Instructions:

Heat up a skillet with avocado oil (I like to use a cast iron).

Pour your starter into the hot pan and add the green onions and garlic. Add the salt and pepper and any other seasonings you want.

Cook on medium heat for a few minutes then flip. I like to lower the temperature so that the add-ins don’t burn instantly. Cook on low heat for a few minutes then turn it up to finish cooking the pancake.

Put it onto a cutting board, let cool for a minute or two then cut up to your preferred size.

Dip it in your favorite sauce and enjoy!

Notes:

  • Is using an active or inactive starter better for these pancakes?

In the past months, I’ve found active starters are better! It’s fluffier and thicker. The discard is usually flat and more crispy since it doesn’t have any air in it like the active version. But in the end, you can use either!

  • When testing out this recipe, I saw a combination of mayo, mustard, and ketchup for a dipping sauce. It wasn’t bad with this pancake, but wouldn’t use it for a different kind.

About Me

Welcome to Becky’s Kitchen Corner! I am so happy to see that you are here today. My name is Rebekah, but around here I’m known as Becky. I love to be in the kitchen, cooking and baking up a storm. Though, I don’t like cleaning up the storm as much, ha!

I’m from Pittsburgh and now living in a much sunnier state of North Carolina. I am the youngest of 8 kids and so growing up, I had lots of people to eat up my baked goodies.

In the daytime, I work as a nanny for my sister and brother-in-law to care for my adorable, silly nephew.
