But do you know what makes these better? Chocolate! Yes, chocolate is a perfect addition to these strawberry waffles! I have this Chocolate Chip Sourdough Waffle recipe which is so delicious too!

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 cup starter
  • 1/2 cup einkorn flour
  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt

Sourdough Strawberry Waffle Batter

Heat up your waffle griddle and cook.

Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Notes:

  • I wouldn’t add more than 1 ½ cups of strawberries. Strawberries have quite a bit of water in them and that water adds to the batter.
  • If the batter is a little soupy, add 1 Tbsp at a time till thick enough.
  • If you do add chocolate chips, you may want to add less strawberries so that the griddle can cook the waffles properly.
  • If you don’t have einkorn flour, you can use all AP flour

About Me

Welcome to Becky’s Kitchen Corner! I am so happy to see that you are here today. My name is Rebekah, but around here I’m known as Becky. I love to be in the kitchen, cooking and baking up a storm. Though, I don’t like cleaning up the storm as much, ha!

I’m from Pittsburgh and now living in a much sunnier state of North Carolina. I am the youngest of 8 kids and so growing up, I had lots of people to eat up my baked goodies.

In the daytime, I work as a nanny for my sister and brother-in-law to care for my adorable, silly nephew.
