This recipe for Simple Cheesy Pasta Dish is super easy and simple! Anything with cheese, beef, and noodles really tastes amazing. But add tomato sauce, even better!
If you need to prep ahead for a busy day, this is also a perfect recipe. You could cook the beef and noodles ahead of time then stick it into the fridge. Then when you’re ready, you can basically dump everything in a pot, let it warm up and ta-da, you got an amazing dish to eat.
So, here is the recipe!
Ingredients:
- One box (16oz) of cooked penne noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups tomato sauce
- 2-3 cups cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp dried parsley
- 1-2 cups spinach
Instructions:
Start by cooking the noodles from the instructions on the box.
Add the onion and garlic to a large pot, cook for 2 minutes. Add the ground beef and seasonings.
Add in the tomato sauce and cheese, stir until combined.
Once all incorporated, add in the spinach until cooked.
Take a heaping spoonful and enjoy!

Thank you for this! I am always, always looking for a tasty and quick meal. I LOVE the addition of the spinach and the tomato sauce with cheddar. YUM! It may just show up this weekend with camping! Thank you!!
It sounds like it would be perfect for a camping trip! 🙂
Just a question. Is there any way that you can put a print button on the website? I have to copy and paste to print the recipes. OR maybe I am missing it, and if you could point out where it is, that would be greatly helpful. Thank you so much!!
Currently, there is no print button, but is something I want to do in the future!
We made this while camping and it was delicious! Our guests at our campsite said so many good things about it and enjoyed it immensely! It is going to become part of our usual dinner choices now. One camping style change I made was that I used Annie’s boxed mac n cheese and the cheese sauce, because I didn’t have time to get to the store for the noodles and cheese. It was simpler for camping to make the cheese sauce and add all the other ingredients, but I look forward to making it with the noodles and cheddar cheese at home. I’m sure it will improve it and make it even better. I loved the addition of the spinach and used some from a farmer we love. I added extra than the recipe called for. So yummy!
That addition sounds delicious!
