BKC 2023 Goals

BKC 2023 Goals

Happy new year, everyone! It’s 2023; can you believe it? I had a great 2022, but hoping for an even better 2023! I don’t make resolutions but goals. What’s the difference, you may ask? There may not be a huge difference. But a goal is you have a point in mind, and you work towards it. A resolution seems to be more locked in, and if you don’t succeed, you fail.  Journaling is one of my favorite things; it is a great way to process and reset. So here are some of my goals going forth with BKC!

Goal #1 To be more thorough

My mini sourdough loaf

There have been multiple times when I go and use one of my recipes, and there’s an ingredient missing or quantity missing. I always edit and proofread my posts before being published, but there’s usually something still missing. So, this year I’m going to try and be more thorough.

Goal #2: Getting more traffic

My daily pancake! Tried everything bagel seasoning and was so good!

This will be a repeated goal for each year. Getting traffic on a website can be pretty difficult. Figuring out keywords, SEO, ideas, and just everything. So, I will be trying to find the best way to get more traffic and more interaction on my posts. Which leads me to…

Goal #3: Being more active on Pinterest:

Ah, yes, Pinterest. I have it but don’t use it much. I go through phases of liking it and not liking it. But this year, I will try and include it in my weekly schedule. A lot of other bloggers have mentioned Pinterest, so I’m going to give it another shot with consistency in mind.

Goal #4: Earn my first dollar

A pumpkin pie. I tried making a tree out of the extra dough but didn’t work very well

I knew from the beginning I would like to earn something through my blog. But I was never in a hurry to get to that point. It will be two years since launching, and I think it’s time to start actively working to get my first dollar!

Goal #5: Grow the kitchen crew

Sourdough raisin bread. It was perfect as a dough but pretty gross after I baked it.

To grab more email subscribers! It’s actually one of my favorite things about BKC. Recipe posts are more formal, but with my email, I can be more casual and share more behind-the-scenes and day-to-day stuff. From last year, it has grown 69%, and that’s crazy! My email crew is the most successful out of everything I do for BKC. Website, Pinterest, socials. Engagement on my Instagram has also gone up, which is pretty cool! I just realized this, but my email is more like a weekly journal entry. It’s simple and to the point. So, I highly recommend joining my kitchen crew!

Other things I need to do that aren’t exactly goals are just to keep my website polished. To spend more time on the backend and keep things going smoothly. I also want to try and do more “journal entry” kinds of posts. If you have any ideas or suggestions, I’m always open to hearing them!

That is all, and I hope you have a great 2023!

~Becky 🙂

These are wonderful goals!! Now that I know you would like more traffic, I’ll pass that around and see if more people will sign up. It is always so interesting and I love seeing what you are making/working on. Last year was good and this year will be even better I’m praying. My goal is to walk everyday and increase my daily Bible study and hope that other life habits improve with the accomplishment of this goal. May God bless all of your endeavors Rebekah! 🙂

About Me

Welcome to Becky’s Kitchen Corner! I am so happy to see that you are here today. My name is Rebekah, but around here I’m known as Becky. I love to be in the kitchen, cooking and baking up a storm. Though, I don’t like cleaning up the storm as much, ha!

I’m from Pittsburgh and now living in a much sunnier state of North Carolina. I am the youngest of 8 kids and so growing up, I had lots of people to eat up my baked goodies.

In the daytime, I work as a nanny for my sister and brother-in-law to care for my adorable, silly nephew.
